I love everything I make, but I have a strong association with Sambar and anything made with it. I just looooooovvvvveeeeeee Sambar, I don't know why ?
So here's sambar rice. This is again a one-pot dish that can be had for lunch, dinner, or would even make for a lunch box treat.
I soaked tamarind, the size of a lemon medium size, in a bowl of water.
Pre-cook a small cup of toor dal / kandi pappu and also 3 small cups of rice.
